Name: Roxy
Age: 4 yrs
Sex: Female
Weight: 20.6 lbs
Altered: Yes
Previous Life: Breeder Release
Good with dogs/cats/kids: Yes, will need another dog in the home/Unknown/Unknown
Likes: She loves all treats. She has one toy she likes to play with occasionally but not often.
Dislikes: Sudden movements, loud noises, pottying with a leash (a leash is still scary to her sometimes). Roxy also doesn’t like to be picked up off of the ground, she runs to the couch and wants picked up from there.
House-trained: We are working on it. She has been very good lately! After she goes potty outside, she runs up to me right afterwards and expects pets. And then she zoomies to the door and waits for her potty-treat.
Crate trained: Working on it but would prefer to be with her people. She goes in there when we leave to run errands – because we put her in there. She would not sleep in there, so she sleeps with her big foster brother at night.
Fenced yard required: Yes, a fenced yard is a must for Roxy.
Special needs: She has some knee issues like any pug does that the vet advised at her initial intake, but it doesn’t stop her from any daily activities. Recommend daily supplements for joints and possible chiropractic/acupuncture as needed.
Meet Roxy – A Sweet and Loving Pug Looking for Her Forever Home!
Roxy is a little bundle of love! Once she gets to know you, she’ll become your loyal shadow, never wanting to leave your side. Though she was very shy and nervous at first, she has come such a long way in her foster home.
Nowadays, Roxy eagerly jumps onto the couch, waiting for you to pick her up and carry her outside—it’s her favorite routine! She’s still a bit wary of doorways, but her confidence is growing every day. She’s also making great progress on the leash and enjoys exploring the outdoors at her own pace.
Roxy’s foster sister is a lively terrier mix with lots of energy, which can sometimes be a bit overwhelming for her. Roxy would do best in a home with a calm, cuddly sibling—or as the center of attention! She adores snuggling, belly rubs, and gentle pets, and she’ll happily soak up all the love you can give her.
While she doesn’t like being left alone, Roxy is a good girl who will rest in her kennel when her foster family is at work or running errands. She’s a sweet, sensitive pug who just wants to be the best version of herself for the family who gives her a chance.
Roxy is ready to fill your home with unconditional love and joy. Could you be the one to make her dream of a forever home come true?
